VOX Children’s Choir meets at St. James

VOX children’s choir starts rehearsals at St. James this fall

We invite children from St. James to join this fall’s VOX Pop-Up Choir Program! This two-month session welcomes singers ages 8 and above of all levels to participate in a unique pop choral experience. This exciting program provides singers with the opportunity to learn outstanding arrangements over a six-week rehearsal process, participate in a professional recording project and perform with incredible musicians in concerts throughout the holiday season. Meeting at St. James on Sunday afternoons from 1 to 3 p.m., children will gather from all around Orange County to develop and strengthen their musical artistry in a supportive environment. Co-directors Sarah Grandpré and Stefanie Deming have years of experience in education and performance. Sarah Grandpré founded and directed the Voices of Hope Children’s Choir from 2015-2024; under her leadership the choir earned the coveted “Golden Buzzer” as finalists on season 13 of NBC’s “America’s Got Talent.” Notable choir collaborations include Josh Groban, Pentatonix, Becky G, Donny Osmond, Tom Ball, For King and Country and Tokio Myers in televised appearances on NBC’s “Red Nose Day,” “America’s Got Talent Champions,” “America’s Got Talent: All-Stars,” ABC’s “WEDay” and this year’s 96th annual Academy Awards. Sarah is an active producer and arranger and is delighted to bring these connections to her new projects. Stefanie Deming is the Music Program Director at Hephatha Lutheran School in Anaheim Hills, developing their highly sought after strings program and instrumental program along with her school choirs. Sarah and Stefanie have collaborated for many years. Most recently they prepared and brought their choir to Carnegie Hall where the children joined with hundreds of other young people premiering new works and performing on that iconic stage. They are thrilled to continue this partnership here at St. James! Tuition for VOX is $250. Rehearsals begin Oct. 13th. To apply, go to sarahgrandpre.com/programs
