At St. James the Great, we serve all children, youth, young adults, and all understandings of family.
At St. James the Great, we seek to find a common place where all members—regardless of history, affiliation, experience, or profession, can find and foster a relationship with God in community. Our family events and ministries are to be a place where anyone can experience loving relationship with our church through meaningful gatherings of work and play.
As a multi-generational church, we celebrate the gift of faith through worship, in conversation, through learning, in fellowship, and in service.

“Nothing can separate us from the love of God” is from a passage the children read, Romans 8:37–39. This passage emphasizes the unwavering nature of God’s love, promises us that nothing can separate us from it. It assures us of our victory and security in Christ. The passage also says that we are “more than conquerors or overcomers.” What that means is that through Jesus’ love, and his death on the cross we can overcome any worries, challenges or troubles that we might face. We can always ask for God’s help, and we don’t need to give up or run away because we know that God is on our side.
Here are some of the “overcomers” that we talked about last month:
• Noah—overcame the global flood by building an ark as instructed by God
• Moses—overcame Pharaoh by being obedient to God
• The Prodigal Son—overcame his guilt and sadness by going back to his father’s home
And most of all, Jesus Christ, the King of kings has conquered all things by laying down his own life to save us. When Jesus rose from the dead, he overcame death. Jesus has already won the battle. And because he won, we win! He has brought us into eternal life! We are more than conquerors! Have a blessed month, and may Jesus help us to live for him each day.
Love,
Ms. Krishen and Miss Araceli
