Inner Sanctuary: Embodying the spiritual journey of transformation

Come gather with us to experience for yourself the boundless power of God’s transformational love.

Our current focus is on “Discovering & Living the Fullness of Our True Identity in Christ.”

Come to our weekly gatherings at church, in the Library/Upper Room, on Thursdays from 10 to 11:30 a.m.

On this journey we will explore various reference materials with an emphasis on the integration of the Whole Self, such as the following:

1. Scripture

2. Books on the Enneagrami.e., The Wisdom of the Enneagram, by Russ Hudson. Please note: We will use the Map of the Enneagram in accordance with its original intent—as a spiritual aid to identify and free one from habitual patterns that can block spiritual growth, as opposed to using it to categorically put people in boxes, as it sometimes is used.

3. Daily Readings—i.e., Meister Eckhart’s Book of Secrets: Mediations on Letting Go and Finding True Freedom, by Mark S. Burrows & Jon M. Sweeney; as well as Daily Mediations by Fr. Richard Rohr.

Growth opportunities will include:

  • Participating in a loving, growth-oriented, small-group community whose members are experientially learning what it means to “Be in Christ” within themselves, one another, and the world.
  • Cultivating the practice of being present to divine presence—within yourself, others, and the world.
  • Experiencing a variety of contemplative practices to support your lifelong spiritual journey.
  • Developing a growing curiosity & trust:
  • In the dynamic power of God’s transforming love.
  • In experiential knowledge and divine Wisdom
  • In divine grace, peace, freedom, and ease
  • In living in the Eternal Now; opening to “What Is”; and letting go—going with the divine flow.
  • Becoming more skilled in identifying and differentiating “Who You Take Yourself to Be” and “Who God Knows You to Be.”
  • When you are reacting out of your personality [i.e., ego/separate/ false self] or responding from the state of fullness of “Being in Christ” [your authentic/whole/true self]
  • Your personality patterns that hinder or enhance your relationships and spiritual growth.
