On Nov. 23, 2025, the Very Rev. Canon Dr. Gary Hall gave a class on the Eucharist, entitled “Thanksgiving and the Great Thanksgiving.” As we come every tear to celebrate the yearly harvest holiday of Thanksgiving, we Christians do so in the long history of our own festival of thanks, the Holy Eucharist. In this session, Dr. Gary Hall explored the way Christians and Jews have grounded their response to God in the action of giving thanks and how our gratitude finds expression in our weekly practice of gathering at the altar.
