Located at St. James the Great in Newport Beach, iRealm is a one-of-a-kind immersive environment in Southern California, bringing together high-resolution projection, immersive visuals, professional sound, and storytelling to transform an ordinary room into an extraordinary experience.
Similar to the immersive art exhibitions that have captivated audiences around the world, iRealm surrounds participants with imagery and sound. But unlike a traditional exhibition, the space is designed to be flexible—ready for workshops, retreats, presentations, education, storytelling, concerts, corporate events, and community gatherings.
The experience is supported by a dedicated high-level audio-visual engineering team at St. James, ensuring that both elements work together to create an engaging environment.
A Church with a History of Innovation
For St. James the Great, iRealm is not a departure from tradition. It is the next expression of a church that has embraced technology for years.
Since 2016, St. James has livestreamed Sunday worship, using technology to connect with people beyond its physical walls. In 2026, the church expanded that vision with Jordan, its interactive prayer companion, creating another way for people to engage with prayer and spiritual reflection.
Now, iRealm brings that same spirit of innovation into a physical space.
Under the leadership and vision of the Rev. Canon Cindy Voorhees, St. James continues to explore how technology can serve a greater purpose: helping people connect, learn, reflect, worship, and experience community in new ways.
