From the moment you walk through our doors, our ushers are ready to greet you with a smile and a bulletin to help you feel comfortable and follow along. And if it’s your first visit, you may experience one of our favorite St. James traditions: “Mugs and Kisses!” We’ll send you home with a St. James coffee mug and a few chocolate kisses—a small gesture that says welcome to the family!
Our Sunday experience continues after the service with a special brunch, featuring a different, thoughtfully selected menu each week. Visitors often tell us they feel “showered with kindness.” We take that as the highest compliment!
At St. James the Great, we want you to feel more than welcomed—we want you to feel at home. We are building a spiritual home and a strong, caring community where people connect, celebrate, serve, and grow together.
Families are warmly welcome. Our children’s program provides a safe and nurturing environment for children ages 3–11, with certified caregivers who help children discover faith and values. Our youth are service and community oriented. And our Millennials and GenX folks gather monthly for fun and fellowship.
Our worship is sacred and reverent, rooted in Scripture, prayer, communion, and beautiful music led by our choir and music director. We are an inclusive, pet-friendly church, with free parking available across the street during church hours.
Every Sunday brings something a little different. From Easter and Mother’s Day to Mardi Gras and the Blessing of the Animals to community gatherings, there is always something happening at St. James the Great.
